I Shaved My Head When Robert Stanfield Died

"...because Canadian politics is a baffling mystery that, when explained, still doesn't make sense, and has no bearing on anything." -Commenter on a Diefenbaker YTMND I made

Sometimes it's all about the wording:

"The $1200.00 renewal of the Baby Bonus will not increase the availability of day care spaces, nor transit tax credits have more than minimal effect on degrading of the atmosphere,"
-Tracy Parsons, PC leader.

Thanks to Principled Conservative for throwing this up... and Dylan at Right of Center Ice (You're spelling it the wrong way!) for linking to a conservative blogger as opposed to a Conservative blogger.

At any rate. That's why the Liberals lost. They needed to win the name game with the Conservatives, which you can't if you don't play. Call it the baby bonus. Do so loudly and frequently. Do so without cessation:

  • The $1200 dollars is a baby bonus.
  • The GST cut is a Debt Preservation Measure.
  • The lobbying legislation before parliament is the Politcal Retribution, and Professionalisation Act.
  • Harper's constitutional position is: Domino Devolution
  • The record of this government: is Expectations Created, Consequences Delayed
Everybody up to speed? Good.

I'm spelling who wrong now? So... Principled Conservative is a...CPC conservative, or a PC conservative? I have a sneeky suspicion that he is both.

Thats why he is under the heading Progressive-Conservatism, not Conservatism. Should he not be? Am I just talking in circles? It's so early in the morning...
